Curtiss Jacobs is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Uptown Advisory Group LLC., where he is responsible for business development, due diligence and overseeing large scale engagements in the financial services and education sectors.
Curtiss has over 20 years of leading large-scale operations and driving global transformation efforts at organizations such as Pitney Bowes, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, and Bank of America. Over the course of his career, he has developed and implemented operations strategies that improved organizational efficiency and effectiveness throughout the U.S, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
A true proponent of diversity and inclusivity, Curtiss is especially skilled at building and leading diverse, cross-functional teams that effectively maximize operational efficiencies. He relies on these same skills to develop and retain talent and was named Operations Executive of the Year, while at Pitney Bowes, where he managed their largest account, Bank of America, and generated $250M in revenue during his last five years with the firm.
Curtiss earned a BS in management and communications from Adelphi University and holds an MBA in International Business from Northeastern University in Boston. He is a six-sigma black belt in DMAIC methodology, is a certified Business Process Management Professional, and a certified Project Manager. Curtiss is a long-standing member of the National Black MBA Association and has recently been appointed to the National Board of Directors of One Hundred Black Men of America.
Additionally, Curtiss is committed to supporting the Arts. In 2009, Curtiss opened the doors to Renaissance Fine Art in Harlem (since rebranded to Curtiss Jacobs Gallery) to help preserve the cultural legacy of the community and provide opportunities for local artists.
